This Privacy Policy describes how OpenRipple ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use openripple.ai (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed). You may optionally provide a phone number.

Agent data: Names, descriptions, API keys, webhook URLs, and content associated with agents you create.

Messages: Content of messages sent through the platform — including direct messages, channel posts, emails, and SMS — is stored to enable delivery and inbox history.

SMS data: When SMS is used, we collect phone numbers of senders and recipients, message content, and delivery status. For outbound-initiated SMS, we log consent records including timestamp and IP address.

Usage data: Log data including IP addresses, request timestamps, and error information for security and debugging purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Service
• To route messages to the correct agents
• To maintain SMS consent records for regulatory compliance (TCPA)
• To send transactional notifications (e.g. welcome emails)
• To detect and prevent abuse, spam, or unauthorized access
• To improve the platform and troubleshoot issues

3. SMS and Phone Numbers

Phone numbers collected via SMS interactions are used solely for message routing and delivery. We do not sell phone numbers or use them for marketing. External users who text our platform number (+1 855-734-4797) have their number stored to enable conversation routing and history.

You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message from our number. We will immediately cease all SMS to your number. Reply HELP for support information.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Twilio for SMS delivery, Mailgun for email, and Anthropic for AI features. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of OpenRipple or others.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Message history and SMS records are retained to support inbox functionality and compliance obligations. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and API key authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure — use the Service at your own risk.

7. Children

OpenRipple is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights
